Dodge ram stuck in 4th gear
Dec 9, 2016 · Trans stuck in 4th. 2013 ram 3500hd is stuck in 4th gear while in drive. Reverse works. There is a shift solenoid A and a tcm low voltage code. There is a couple "u" codes. I can't remember what other codes was stored in it. It's a work Truck that I got thrown in the middle of it when the mechanic left.Governor pressure sensor and solenoid are often an issue with not shifting to 2nd or to third. Shifting problems. I have a '98 D and a similar problem just started with the tranny. It will not downshift when coming to a stop and wants to pull out in 2nd or 3rd. crasher76. 2344 posts · Joined 2009. #3 · Jun 15, 2010. when in limp mode operation the shift lever in the drive position will be in 3rd gear, and when moved to 2nd or l the transmission will be in 2nd gear. this will allow the driver to manually shift the transmission to limp home. well hope this helps least i gotcha out of 3rd and into 2nd.Hemi 5.7.
