After looking around and doing some research, I found the reason why the load ranges are not applied equally across sizes or manufacturers. The load range is just the number of plys and load pressure (PSI of tire), 8 plys 65 PSI for D's, and 10plys, 80 PSI for E's. It does not one can carry more weight than the other.Currently looking at getting the 285/75/17 wildpeak at3w's, which unfortunately only comes in E load. I am wondering if anyone has any experience comparing the ride quality of the E load vs C load to help me make the decision, as the other option would be just sticking with 285/70/17.
