Utterly formulaic and, with the exception of a few scenes, distastefully fake, Robert Townsend's new screwball comedy, "B.A.P.S.," is a modern fairy tale that imposes the premise of "Pretty Woman ...Halle Berry in an outrageous blonde wig is fabulous and Natalie Desselle as her slightly more than curvy, soul food cooking friend is sublime. But it is Ian Richardson, looking down his proud, English butler's nose that steals the show. If you want depth in your movies look elsewhere, if you want camp entertainment you've come to the right place.
