I can't seem to get my rear brakes adjusted so that I don't get a pull the first time I hit the brakes. It doesn't pull all the time, just the first time, then the car stops straight. When I adjust my front brakes, I spin the wheel and look for about 1-1.5 turns of the wheel before it stops from the drag.

You have a wheel cylinder, adjuster, spring, and horseshoe spring to deal with on the drums. I put mine on with ordinary hand tools. Flat head screwdriver and water pump pliers for the horseshoe spring (there is a specialty tool for it).
